The way children at risk of hunger eat a meal is changing innovatively. The online authentication and payment support project for child meal cards, which Nanum Vitamin has been promoting in partnership with Wonju City and Good Influence Stores, has officially launched this year. Through successful pilot operation from September to December last year, its potential was proven, and Kim Ha-yeon, CEO of Nanum Vitamin, expressed her anticipation, stating, "This official project will create an environment where children at risk of hunger can eat more conveniently and naturally." This project is evaluated as bringing a fresh breeze to the meal support system for vulnerable children. The biggest change is the emergence of the 'Naviyam' app. By linking with Shinhan Card to check child meal card information in real-time, the beneficiary authentication process has been greatly streamlined. Now, children can authenticate their meal cards with a smartphone without a physical card and naturally use the free or discounted menus offered by Good Influence Stores. Furthermore, additional payments can be processed in a one-stop manner within the app, maximizing convenience. This system holds great significance in respecting the healthy eating habits and menu choices of children at risk of hunger in an era of high prices. In particular, the mobile usage method instead of a physical card is receiving positive evaluations for significantly reducing the stigma children might feel. The hybrid payment method, combining public welfare budgets and private donations, has broadened the range of choices to include various local stores that were difficult to access with existing voucher cards. An official from Wonju City stated, "We expect this project not only to improve access for children facing hunger but also to lead to increased sales for local small business owners, thereby creating positive ripple effects such as regional economic revitalization through public-private cooperation." Based on the achievements of the pilot project, Wonju City anticipates a significant improvement in the efficiency of welfare administration for vulnerable children. Nanum Vitamin plans to enhance the system and expand affiliated stores this year, reflecting user feedback, to enable more children to benefit. CEO Kim Ha-yeon expressed her ambition, saying, "We will continue to create more convenient and compassionate welfare services through technological innovation." This official project is gathering anticipation as it is expected to become an exemplary public-private cooperation model that addresses both child welfare and regional economic revitalization.
