L-CAMP 13 and Future Diet 5 companies' private demo day, hosted by Lotte Ventures, was successfully held on the 19th at Lotte Cinema World Tower in Jamsil, Seoul. This event, attended by over 150 investors and Lotte affiliate officials, went beyond mere investment attraction, garnering keen interest by spotlighting the tangible collaboration achievements between startups and the Lotte Group.
The 10 startups, having completed their 6-month intensive program, successfully carried out a total of 18 PoC (Proof of Concept) projects with 14 Lotte affiliates. Notably, some of these have already achieved remarkable results, leading to formal contract signings, thus proving the 'collaboration-centric' differentiation of Lotte Ventures' program.
The company that showed the most notable achievement was 'Romancive,' which develops customized sleep food solutions. Romancive garnered attention for simultaneously signing product supply and store entry contracts with four Lotte Group affiliates—Lotte Hotel Seoul, Lotte Department Store, Lotte Duty Free, and Korea Seven—making it the participant that collaborated with the most group companies in this program.
'TidyB,' which showcased an AI-based branding automation solution, also presented concrete results, such as completing an integrated automated marketing model for SMEs through collaboration with Daehong Communications and preparing for its official launch in December.
The 10 companies selected this time focused on AI and eco-friendly sectors. Among the six companies in L-CAMP 13, four (TidyB, Omelette, A.cure, S.omni) were AI-technology based, while Future Diet 5 showcased solutions emphasizing food and eco-friendliness, including ABBR (upcycled coffee), Nanue (eco-friendly pulp containers), Romancive (sleep food), and Maewol Maeju (AI alcoholic beverage PB).
From the planning stage of this program, Lotte Ventures has made the potential for PoC with group affiliates a primary selection criterion. After selection, a dedicated investment reviewer was assigned to each company to provide close support for their strong connections with Lotte affiliates. Executives from 14 key affiliates, including Lotte Wellfood, Lotte Hotel, Lotte Department Store, Korea Seven, and Daehong Communications, participated as mentors, generously sharing their expertise for startup growth. In addition to office hours covering essential management areas such as legal, finance, HR, and PR, comprehensive support was provided, including the opportunity to participate in the AFPRO 2025 Agri-Food Startup Expo in January next year. This program was jointly operated with the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, the Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency, and ACND.C.
Kim Seung-wook, CEO of Lotte Ventures, expressed his ambition, stating, "We will not merely focus on investment returns but will create innovative achievements together with startups in actual business fields," and "We will do our best to create a world where Lotte Group and startups grow together and innovate." The Lotte Group demonstrated its full commitment to fostering startups by newly launching 'Lotte Unicorn Valley,' an in-house venture program based on employee ideas, on the 6th, and plans to continue expanding startup investments next year.
