Hanssem and Caring Partner for Senior Living Innovation... Begin Development of Senior-Exclusive Furniture and Smart Home Solutions
Caring, a company specializing in senior care, and Hanssem, a comprehensive home interior company, have established a strategic partnership to innovate senior living spaces in response to the aging society. The two companies have begun co-developing furniture exclusively for seniors and cutting-edge smart home solutions, planning to propose new residential models for the safe and comfortable daily lives of seniors.
At the business agreement signing ceremony held on the 12th at Caringstay Lake Branch in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, Caring CEO Kim Tae-seong and Hanssem Director Lee Seung-jun attended and engaged in in-depth discussions on ways to improve senior living environments. This agreement is expected to be an important stepping stone for commencing spatial research that prioritizes the rest and residential convenience of seniors. In particular, they plan to focus their efforts on developing furniture exclusively for seniors, optimized for their physical characteristics and lifestyle patterns, along with establishing smart home services incorporating Internet of Things (IoT) technology.
The innovative products and services developed through this partnership will be primarily applied across Caring's senior housing businesses, including its urban paid nursing facilities 'Caringstay' and premium nursing homes 'Caringvillage,' thereby contributing to improving the actual quality of life for seniors. Caring is accelerating its senior housing business to expand the range of senior living options. Caring successfully opened its first Caringstay branch in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, last January, and plans to introduce Caringvillage in Pyeongchon, Gyeonggi Province, this March. Furthermore, they plan to expand and open up to the fifth Caringstay branch in Pocheon and Byeollae within the year, providing healthy and high-quality living environments to seniors across the country.
Hanssem Director Lee Seung-jun stated, "Based on our experience of leading customer lifestyles, we will propose differentiated spaces tailored to senior lifestyles," and expressed his ambition, "Through our cooperation with Caring, we will establish smart home solutions that maximize convenience in senior living spaces." Caring CEO Kim Tae-seong also emphasized that "furniture is a core element in seniors' safe living spaces," adding, "Through our collaboration with Hanssem, we will develop senior-exclusive furniture and IoT services that encompass both safety and convenience, offering a special experience to our customers." The two companies are expected to set new standards for senior living culture and provide innovative alternatives for the aging society through this collaboration.
