ElevenLabs Launches in Korea to Drive K-Content and AI Ecosystem Growth
ElevenLabs, a British company leading the artificial intelligence (AI) audio field, has officially announced its entry into the Korean market. CEO and co-founder Mati Staniszewski presented the company's vision as "a voice AI company that gives voice to technology and brings agents to life" at a press conference held during his visit to Korea. ElevenLabs boasts over 50 million monthly active users and a company valuation of 6.6 billion dollars, and has demonstrated its technological prowess by securing prominent domestic companies such as Naver and Krafton as clients. ElevenLabs' core technologies are extensive, including speech synthesis (TTS), speech recognition (STT), AI dubbing, voice cloning, and voice separation. During this visit to Korea, particular attention was drawn to their innovative 'AI Agent Platform'. This platform supports over 7,000 voices and 32 languages with an astonishing latency of less than 0.5 seconds, and seamlessly integrates with enterprise workflows such as CRM, payment, and telephone systems. CEO Staniszewski highlighted tangible achievements, such as an 85% reduction in agent processing time and 50% AI handling of credit card inquiries, through the case of a digital bank adopting the platform, and promised continued latency improvement through ongoing model advancements. Hong Sang-won, Head of ElevenLabs Korea, cited the high AI adoption rate in Korea (65.1% for large enterprises), the government's bold investment (10.1 trillion won by 2026), and the high receptiveness to innovation in the Korean market through excellent mobile and 5G infrastructure as reasons for entering the Korean market. The key pillars of the Korean market are 'globalization of K-content' and 'reinvention of customer experience'. ElevenLabs' 'Eleven v3' supports over 70 languages, delicately reproduces the emotions and nuances of the original work, and maximizes dubbing production efficiency with automatic speaker separation and timeline editing functions. At the same time, ElevenLabs also emphasized its ethical responsibility to prevent deepfake misuse and copyright infringement. Through its '3C Framework' (Consent, Control, Compensation), the company intends to build an AI utilization system based on user consent, a tracking system, and a reasonable revenue-generating ecosystem. Director Hong mentioned successful collaboration cases with prominent domestic clients such as MBC C&I, ESTsoft, Krafton, and SBS, and expressed the ambition to "actively support Korea in growing into a hub for Asian voice AI". ElevenLabs is ready to lead the market by combining its advanced AI technology with Korea's innovative environment and rich content, creating new synergies.
