## Delivered Korea Partners with Japan's Mercari to Rapidly Support K-Seller Entry into Japan!
Delivered Korea, a global e-commerce solutions company, has signed a strategic partnership with Mercari, Japan's largest used goods trading platform, establishing a groundbreaking foothold for Korean sellers to enter the Japanese market. This collaboration will enable domestic sellers to directly showcase their products on the Mercari platform, which boasts over 23 million monthly active users (MAU).
Delivered Korea plans to resolve complex barriers to overseas market entry, such as language and logistics, by providing a 'one-stop' service that handles the entire process from product registration to payment and international shipping. This will allow Korean sellers to reach Japanese consumers more easily and efficiently.
Mercari, with over 4 billion cumulative registered items and an annual gross merchandise value of 1,072.7 billion yen (approximately 9.5 trillion KRW) as of 2024, is the dominant player in Japan's online used goods trading market. Notably, according to Delivered Korea's data, Japan recorded the highest year-over-year growth rate, rapidly emerging as the second-largest trading country after the United States. This reflects the strong interest of Japanese consumers in K-culture and Korean products.
Kim Jong-ik, CEO of Delivered Korea, expressed his expectation that this collaboration would create a 'win-win' synergy, offering Japanese consumers access to a diverse range of Korean products and providing Korean sellers with opportunities for global market expansion.
In fact, Delivered Korea has already proven the potential for success through a tripartite partnership with Bungaejangter and Mercari in 2024, facilitating the sale of Bungaejangter products on Mercari. As a result, Bungaejangter achieved remarkable growth, with its Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) on Mercari increasing approximately 2.72 times in Q4 2024 compared to Q3.
Delivered Korea plans to continue supporting the sustained growth of domestic brands and sellers and to steadily expand its global partnerships in response to worldwide interest in K-culture.
