The global popularity of K-culture is revitalizing Korea's tourism industry! As the craze for visiting Korea among people worldwide intensifies, global accommodation cost-price booking platform AllMyTour.com announced that the number of group visitors to Korea in 2024 has surged by an impressive twofold compared to the previous year.
This growth clearly demonstrates the overall recovery of the Korean tourism market. According to statistics from the Korea Tourism Organization, the cumulative number of inbound tourists to Korea in 2024 reached a total of 16.37 million, which is a 48.4% increase compared to the previous year. What's particularly encouraging is that it has recovered to 94% of the 2019 level, before the COVID-19 pandemic.
AllMyTour.com's own data analysis results are also interesting. In 2024, the number of group bookings increased by 66% compared to the previous year, and the number of booked individuals grew by 95%. By region, Asian countries accounted for an overwhelming 67%, with South America at 21% and the Middle East at 12%, demonstrating a continuous flow of visitors to Korea from diverse regions.
Jung Hyun-il, co-CEO of AllMyTour, cited strong partnerships with global travel agencies as the secret to this success. Through these partnerships, they were able to stably supply highly competitive accommodation products, and as a result, achieved remarkable results in attracting individual and group visitors to Korea.
AllMyTour.com does not intend to stop here and plans to accelerate its efforts to expand inbound visitor attraction. They will particularly focus on developing services that enhance accessibility and convenience for overseas local travel agencies, launching a 'Web Booking' service in the first half of the year and a 'Group Direct Booking Solution' within the year, in succession.
Currently, AllMyTour.com boasts the highest level of accommodation network in the domestic OTA industry. Last January, it surpassed 3 million owned accommodations, and currently solidifies its position by offering 14 million accommodation rooms across 250,000 cities in 198 countries.
CEO Jung stated, "With travel sentiment fully recovered this year, explosive growth in the inbound tourism market is expected," and revealed his aspiration to "further enhance our presence as a next-generation global OTA by focusing on the digital transformation of group inbound demand."
