KakaoBank's 'My Document Box' Establishes Itself as a Smart Financial Assistant for 8 Million Customers KakaoBank's innovative electronic document viewing service, 'My Document Box,' has surpassed 8 million subscribers in just over two years since its launch, firmly establishing itself as an essential companion for digital financial life. First introduced in 2023, 'My Document Box' helps customers conveniently manage important documents that are easy to overlook, all in one place, providing a smart financial experience. 'My Document Box' not only allows viewing and managing KakaoBank's own documents, such as deposit balance certificates and payment suspension notifications, but also a wide range of electronic documents from the Ministry of Interior and Safety's National Secretary service, and recently added notices and notifications from the Korea Housing Finance Corporation through a partnership, all within a single app. Thanks to this, customers can easily check and store various scattered important pieces of information within the KakaoBank app. Just as impressive as the remarkable 8 million subscribers, the volume of documents processed through 'My Document Box' is also substantial. Over the past two years, customers have received a total of 60 million electronic documents, which has contributed significantly to environmental protection beyond mere convenience. Assuming an average of three A4 sheets of paper are consumed per notice, 'My Document Box' has generated paper resource savings equivalent to a staggering 18,000 trees, demonstrating a model for sustainable finance. The secret to this explosive popularity lies in its 'notification service.' Customers can receive instant notifications whenever a new electronic document arrives, even without directly accessing the 'My Document Box' page. Furthermore, it meticulously guides customers to ensure they never miss important documents, for example, by sending another notification to those who haven't viewed a document for three days. Thanks to this, customers can check essential information in a timely manner and take necessary actions, resulting in very high customer satisfaction. Particularly since last March, the service scope has been significantly expanded through a partnership with the Korea Housing Finance Corporation. With the ability to easily receive a total of 70 types of important documents, such as housing pension usage status guides, guarantee fee payment guides, and refund search services, which the Korea Housing Finance Corporation previously sent by mail, directly through the KakaoBank application, customer convenience has been further enhanced. A KakaoBank official stated, "It seems many customers are using 'My Document Box' as a result of KakaoBank taking care of important documents that are easy to overlook, thereby maximizing customer convenience," and added their ambition, "We will continue to strive to make customers' financial lives even more convenient and smart." 'My Document Box' is expected to continue evolving beyond a simple electronic document storage box, becoming a core service that enriches customers' digital financial lives.
