2025 CJ GloVentures 3 OnSTAGE: Global VC Insights & Successful Investment Connections
Global Stage, Flames of Innovation Ignite: CJ GLO!VentUs 3rd Batch Lays Groundwork for Successful Global Leap The 3rd batch of 'CJ GLO!VentUs (hereinafter CJ GLO!VentUs),' a global startup acceleration program co-presented by Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy & Innovation (GCCEI) and CJ, successfully concluded its journey. This program, which laid the groundwork for participating companies' global leap through an 8-week intensive, customized acceleration process for the U.S. market and a local Immersion Week, in cooperation with prestigious Silicon Valley accelerator Alchemist, shared its achievements amid enthusiastic investment interest by holding a performance sharing event ‘OnSTAGE’ on September 30th at Pangyo Startup Zone. Over 50 domestic and international investors and startup officials attended, making it a platform for in-depth discussion on innovative technologies and global market entry strategies that will lead the future. In Part 1, global venture capital (VC) experts from Simsan Ventures, Draper Startup House, Storm Ventures, Korelya Capital, and others gathered to sharply analyze 'The Conditions for Startups to Succeed in the Global Market.' The panelists presented the founder's problem-solving ability and execution power, solid financial health based on domestic revenue, and precise customer definition and market understanding as key success factors. In particular, Kim Min-joo, Director at Storm Ventures, emphasized, "Tens of trillions of won are being invested in AI infrastructure in the U.S. alone," and "Rather than being swayed by small waves like exchange rates or regulations, we must consider how to leverage the immense current of AI," thus throwing a timely topic into discussion. In the subsequent Part 2, six startups armed with innovative technologies, including MediAI Plus (medical AI solutions), Hayanmind (in-app marketing SaaS), Secondteam (overseas developer matching), SLZ (XR·AI construction), Jeje Edu (AI math learning), and Sherpaspace (smart farm IoT), took to the stage to present their business achievements and future visions. Attending VCs showed high interest, engaging in active networking with the presenting companies to deeply discuss investment and collaboration possibilities. Prior to ‘OnSTAGE,’ during the Silicon Valley Immersion Week held from September 15th to 17th, the TOP4 companies met directly with local investors and partners to concretize their U.S. market entry strategies, and it was revealed that some of these companies are already actively discussing investment with local VCs, garnering anticipation. Kim Do-han, CEO of CJ Investment, emphasized, "The most significant meaning of this program is that participating companies have acquired practical capabilities and networks for global market entry," while Kim Won-kyung, CEO of Gyeonggi Innovation Center, promised, "The journey of the participating startups does not end here; we will support their growth through continuous follow-up support and alumni operations," thus expressing a firm commitment to fostering a global innovation ecosystem.
