Travel super app MyRealTrip is solidifying its leading position in the domestic travel platform market and continuing its unstoppable growth. In the first quarter of this year, out of 7.4 million outbound travelers, a remarkable 1.31 million purchased travel products through MyRealTrip, demonstrating an overwhelming presence. MyRealTrip recorded its highest-ever growth rate for five consecutive quarters, achieving a total of 1.8 million travel product sales in the first quarter alone. Notably, independent travel-related products accounted for over 70% of total sales, and airline ticket sales surged by 53% year-on-year and 25% quarter-on-quarter, driving growth. By region, Japan and Europe showed the highest reservation proportions, followed by Southeast Asia, the Americas, and China. The 'Marketing Partner' program, a revenue-generating program for travel influencers, also recorded explosive growth. Launched in 2023, this program grew by 244% year-on-year and 16% quarter-on-quarter, generating a massive transaction value of 83.4 billion won throughout 2024. Currently, MyRealTrip has secured a unique position with 9 million cumulative subscribers and 4 million monthly active users (MAU). Last year, it achieved sales of 89.2 billion won and an operating profit of 130 million won, marking the remarkable feat of its first annual profit since its establishment. Lee Dong-geon, CEO of MyRealTrip, stated, "This is the result of providing tangible value throughout the customer journey at the time of recovery in demand for overseas travel after COVID-19." He expressed his ambition, "Beyond a simple booking platform, we will set new standards for travel through traveler-centric product innovation and technological advancement." MyRealTrip is strengthening its market dominance with an all-encompassing product expansion strategy that goes beyond its core business of tours and activities to include flights, accommodation, and 'MyPack,' which combines independent and package tours. Industry experts anticipate that if this growth continues, MyRealTrip will attract over 20% of outbound travelers to its platform by the end of this year, and they are closely watching its progress.
